Way back in October 2021 two like-minded friends hatched a plan to produce a play as a diversion from the dreaded virus. For something different and fun, we decided to stage “Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime” by Oscar Wilde. The fact that there were only three of us and it has a cast of ten didn’t daunt us at all.

Kevin’s Bed is a play of comedy, nostalgia, expectations and broken dreams. The setting is the celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Dan and Doris – a time for them to return to their old house, join in their celebrations, contemplate a life in disarray and remember the joy of their silver anniversary – the Sonny and Cher days, the optimism and the expectations they had of their sons, John and Kevin.
